International Program of Management and Business (IMaBs) Department Management Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) held a Welcoming Session for New Student of IMaBs 2020 on Monday (12/10). The event was attended by Retno Widowati PA., M.Si., Ph.D as Head of  Department Management, Dr. Indah Fatmawati, M.Si as Secretary of IMaBs and  Radyan Dananjoyo, SE., MM., M.Sc., Ph.D. as the Academic Adviser of IMaBs.

This event was held with aim to welcoming new students, especially students of IMaBs FEB UMY.  Dr. Indah also added that with this event, it is expected that students can be better prepared to face lectures and be able to understand what programs and obligations are owned as IMaBs students. Thus, it is expected that new students from IMaBs can prepare their academic plan well during their studies at UMY.

In addition, Radyan Dananjoyo, SE., MM., M.Sc., Ph.D  said to reminded the importance of communication and recommended that all students can always establish communication with him and the lecturers if there are academic obstacles that are faced.

Different from previous years, in this period held by online, for the first time IMaBs FEB UMY also accepted three new foreign students from Gambia and Congo. The arrival of the three foreign students was welcomed by Retno Widowati PA., M.Si., Ph.D . “The arrival of these three foreign students is one of internationalization of UMY, especially the Management Study Program”said Ms. Retno. She also hopes that the three foreign students and all of new students can enjoy their studies at IMaBs FEB UMY.

As we know IMaBs is an international program owned by the Management Study Program of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. Although this program only has 5 generations, but IMaBs FEB UMY already has a lot of cooperation with several universities in various countries such as Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, and Turkey.
