To improve the reputation of the Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) at the international level. UMY continues to make various breakthroughs to encourage international cooperation with various universities. On Thursday (2/12) UMY again received a visit from Dong A University, South Korea.
UMY Rector Dr. Ir. Gunawan Budiyanto, M.P., IPM, revealed that the purpose of UMY to invite Dong A University was to conduct academic discussions regarding cooperation between the two universities. In addition, he also held a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two universities and was signed by Dr. Ir. Gunawan Budiyanto, M.P., IPM, and President of Dong A University Prof. Suk Jung Han.
During the visit the discussion related to the possibility of increasing academic activities such as student mobility, staff mobility, and research collaboration. “It is hoped that our academic collaboration will bring closer academic relations between Dong A University and Yogyakarta Muhammadiyah University,” said Gunawan again.
President of Dong A University Prof. Suk Jung Han also felt very honored to be invited and have the opportunity to collaborate with one of the best private universities in Indonesia. “This is the collaboration of Dong A University for several times with universities in Indonesia and this time is the turn of collaboration with Yogyakarta Muhammadiyah University.
