Cooperation and International Affairs Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) had joined a program organized by LLDIKTI on Thursday, November 7th. The event entitled Workshop on the management of higher education cooperation in the region 5 LLDIKTI. It was held at the Phoenix Hotel Yogyakarta, which was attended by various types of tertiary institutions in region V.
In the event, the head of the V region LLDIKTI, Prof. Didi Achjari, M.Com, reminded the Head of the Collaborative Institution to carry out a partial partnership. This is because the Higher Education wants Indonesian lecturers to have high values in the research field. Besides, he also said that the issue of state sovereignty was also an important issue, especially for foreign professors and international students who came to Indonesia to conduct researches.
The event consisted of 2 sessions filled by two speakers. Adhrial Reffadin filled for the first material as Head of the Higher Education Foreign Cooperation Section. Adhrial said that with cooperation, universities could double academic capacity. “It cannot be said to be optimal if it is still unable to absorb more graduates and has not been able to increase the amount of lecturer research,” he said. Whereas, Sutrisno filled the second session as the head of Immigration, who delivered the material about licensing.
